2017 Sep Grand Circle 13 South Rim
At the beginning of our train ride to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon we were treated to a shoot out by the above shown cowboys!
This bad boy fell in the wrong pile of you know what. Guess he wishes that he had not been shot!
We boarded the train very near out campground in Williams AZ. It was a great ride both to the canyon and the return to Williams. There was entertainment and some 'excitement' outside the train as we were held up by some outlaws who did come in to the cars and demanded 'loot'. I gave them a dollar bill and claimed it was all I had.
The Canyon was awesome and as we remembered it from the early 80's! But much more crowded!!
Bright Angel trail below. Main trail from the top of the rim to the bottom We cannot handle the heights walking so close to the edge, so just viewed from the top.

This herd of Pronghorns was seen on our return trip.
The train robbers prior to them boarding the train.
Seen in downtown Williams AZ. This was a favorite town on the old Route 66.
I personally fell in love with this town and feel fortunate that we were there as the tourist crowds were beginning to dwindle.
I should also mention that Linda bought me this great hat here in Williams. A hat made in the USA by none other than Stetson!
The following photos are from 'Bearizona' in Williams. It is a wonderful natural wildlife park that appears to treat all the animals there with great love and respect. It is a great home for all the inhabitants. I learned from some locals that the owner is a great person who treats his employees and 'inhabitants'. extremely well.
I am happy that were able to support this place and thank Adventure Caravans for including it on our trip.
